   That’s so beautiful and makes me want to go hiking there.

   I know, right! Unfortunately, Timanfaya is not open to hiking – too dangerous what with the semi-active volcanic bits and also a too fragile environment. There are bus tours through it, and a guided hiking tour once a week, but most of it is completely off limits.
