“Wie sieht die Welt in 1000 Jahren aus?” “What will the world look like in 1000 years?” was a bilingual postcard art project that ran from 2009 to 2014 and asked people this very question. The aim was for people to find a postcard with this question on it somewhere, to take it home with them, answer the question however they wanted and send it in. It went reasonably well – I didn’t have much time for it, postcard printing was still relatively costly at the time, the response rate was okay, but not great … so after five years and two exhibitions, the project ended in 2014 – in the final phase of my dissertation, when there was simply no more time.

“Wie sieht die Welt in 1000 Jahren aus?” “What will the world look like in 1000 years?” war ein bilinguales Postkartenkunstprojekt von 2009 bis 2014, welches Menschen genau diese Frage gestellt hat. Menschen sollten eine Postkarte mit dieser Frage irgendwo finden, mitnehmen, bearbeiten, einsenden – das war das Ziel. Geklappt hat es so mittelgut – ich hatte nicht sehr viel Zeit dafür, Postkartendruck war noch relativ teuer, die Rücklaufquote war akzeptabel, aber nicht großartig … nach fünf Jahren und zwei Ausstellungen endete das Projekt somit 2014 – in der Endphase meiner Dissertation, wo einfach keine Zeit mehr war.
